Carbon-copy manuscript of which artist K.G. Subramanyan delivered for a lecture at the Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, in 1972.

The text was subsequently published in Year 3, No.4-5 of the magazine Vrishchik that was edited by Gulammohammed Sheikh and Bhupen Khakhar, and was published by Vrishchik Publications, Baroda, in February-March 1971-1972.

The text was also included in K.G. Subramanyan's Moving Focus: Essays on Indian Art that was compiled by Gulammoahmmed Sheikh, and was published by Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi, in 1978.
