This special exhibition aims to explore the relation between Korean folk beliefs and contemporary art by showing works that range from traditional paintings to video art and installation. These works reflect the Korean people's unique view of life and death; they are also the embodiment of the shamanistic and sacrificial aspects of Korean culture.

Please note that English translation is only provided for Park Young-taik's essay. Biographical notes (in Korean only) are included at the back of the catalogue.
