Established in 2009, Seoul Art Space GEUMCHEON offers artist residency programmes that aim to resolve the issues within the community through promotion of artistic creation and community involvement. In 2011, the residency programme focused on domestic issues among multi-cultural families. 8 experts—curators, researchers, and journalists—were recruited from around the world, and 25 Korean and foreign artists were invited to participate in the programme. This publication provides a comprehensive overview of the GEUMCHEON residency and outlines the centre's history, programmes and facilities. Photographs of artworks and artist biographies are also included.
