This catalogue was published in conjunction with the exhibition 'Adventures of Little Things' organised by the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 2006. The exhibition is dedicated to the late Anthony Poon who passed away earlier in 2006. The six artists chosen to be showcased in the exhibition include painters and object makers. As noted by Bridget Tracy Tan in her essay on the theme of the project, 'Size is also a matter of function: not so much a question of delicateness as something one would cherish and observe in secure environs. A little thing becomes like a piece of jewellery or a curio or souvenir that is invested with an idea and a memory. It is a memory that derives itself from the visual quality of the object itself, its presence, as (Walter) Benjamin offers, in time and space.' Artist biographies are provided in the catalgoue.
