Suspended is the title of the artist-in-residence program implemented in autumn 2006 at Aomori Contemporary Art Centre. The title refers to various mysterious natural phoenomena or illusory memories indigenous to specific locality that have been observed since ancient times, generating different spectacles ranging from religious faith to prophecies.

The present publication is a report of Suspended. It features an exhibition entitled Fukei, together with documentation of artist talks, workshops and perfomances by the four participants in the program. With artist biographies.
