This exhibition catalogue accompanied the fifth Artist File, an annual group exhibition project organised by the National Art Center, Tokyo (NACT). The exhibitions in the Artist File series do not have any specific themes of its own, but rather aim to introduce a group of currently active artists whose work is among the most noteworthy, both in Japan and abroad. In this fifth exhibition, the curatorial staff of NACT selected eight artists who reflect a reality of the current era. The exhibiting artists include:
