Pinaree Sanpitak's famous 'Breast' series is inspired by the artist's personal experiences as a mother. As told by Professor Somporn Rodboon in the accompanying essay, 'Pinaree sensitively records those accounts starting from her pregnancy to child birth and child nurturing. The symbol for that bond between mother and child is the mother's "bosom". Thus the enblem of the "breast" becomes an important reference in her art work. The "breast" has appeared in various forms and medium.' Artist biography together with a bibliography are provided in this catalogue.
