A visit to Galleria Duemila requires retinal adjustment as one steps from the colourful world of Leonardo Aguinaldo’s ‘Connectivity’ into the gray concrete ghost town of Kidlat De Guia’s ‘Sleeping White Elephants.’ The two Baguio artists’ concurrent — but related — shows exist side-by-side, separated only by a thin curtain.

Perusing the work, which comments on nepotism and political dynasties, rewards the viewer with hints of humour.
