Catalogue of joint exhibition by the artist-couple Chen Fei and Luo Hui at Beijing Tokyo Art Projects in 2006. At first glance Chen Fei and Luo Hui seem to be making cute and humours works. Chen Fei's paintings depict fat and round figures with their bellies split open and overflowing with jewels. In Luo Hui's works, strange creatures wiggle across the canvas, and hang from their necks on ropes. But upon further examination, as noted by Yukihito Tabata, these works are not simply cute and humourous, they are surreal and grotesque. They represent the various problems that have emerged with the changes that have taken place in Chinese society today. Artist biographies are provided in the catalogue.
