Four (!) years after hosting the inaugural Yokohama Triennale, Yokohama will hold its second triennial from September 28 through December 18, 2005 at Yamashita Pier. Visual artist Kawamata Tadashi is the artistic director. At the end of the event there will be an auction to sella part of the venue as well as the exhibited works. In an interview, Tadashi states, "It is up to the residents to think of art as something that triggers the revitalization of the city."
