Paroles is a journal published by l'Alliance Francaise de Hong Kong. In this issue, Josette Balsa and Sonia Au review Hong Kong's debut at the Venice Biennial and Gao Xingjian's retrospective exhibition at Avignon (France) respectively; Gerard Henry discusses the newly resettled artist village at Cattle Depot (Ma Tau Kok Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong); and Claude Tsang, a Hong Kong photographer, deliberates on the medium prior to his exhibition in Macau.
