It is a photobook of the Taiwanese photographer Wu Chihhua. It also corresponds to the solo exhibition held in 1997 in Tamsui, Taiwan under the same title. Exploring the metaphorical relation between the ocean and life, Wu's black-and-white photographs were taken on different beaches which he visited during a period of four years.

Includes an introductory essay, a postscript by Wu himself, and a biography of the artist.
