Catalogue of joint exhibition by ten leading Chinese artists at the Asia Art Center, Beijing in 2006. Chinese avant-guard photography sprang up around 1995 and has become a major component in the development of Chinese avant-garde art in the 1990s. The works of the artists in the exhibition not only allow the viewers to gain great insight into Chinese avant-guard photography from different perspectives, they also offer a reflection of the social reality in the fast-changing environment of China. The catalogue includes biographies of the artists and the curator.
