Channel 1 presents single channel video works by six Korean artists. In recent years, there has been an explosive growth of multimedia art, often employing multi-channel and high-tech displays of artistic creativity. Gallery Hundai, the organiser of the exhibition has intentionally chosen to feature only single channel video works for this exhibition as a proclamation of its commitment to starting from the basics and the foundation of media art. The present catalogue includes artist biographies and artist interviews.
