A set of 3 VCD discs.

This video features the opening of The 2nd Fukuoka Triennale, which took place from 21 March to 23 June 2002.

The theme of the 2nd Fukuoka Triennale, organized by the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum, is 'Imagined Workshop.' By focusing on the "low-tech", "hand-made" and the "real", as well as "collaboration", the 2nd Triennial wishes to re-evaluate works that are not normally associated with contemporary art, thus leading us to question what modernization or globalization means in Asia. Artists from 21 regions and countries in Asia have been invited to participate in this year's exhibition.

Featured artists include: Yanagi Yukinori (Japan) Nindityo Adiprunomo (Indonesia) Aisha Khalid (Pakistan) Long Sophea (Cambodia) Peng Hungchih (Taiwan) Yin Xhiuzhen (China) Sutee Kunavichayanont (Thailand) Ushijima Hitoshi (Japan)
