'Today No Water' is a non-linear and non-narrative novel written by Chinese conceptual artist Wu Shanzhuan over a period of 10 years (1986-1996). In the novel, the artist juxtaposes texts from different contexts. With a touch of humour, personal anecdotes are interspersed with political statements and nonsensical social commentaries. The book also includes over 700 pages of extensive endnotes which are considerably longer than the text to which they are appended.
