Marking the third anniversary of Vu Dan Tan's death, Goethe-Institut presents 'Venus in Vietnam' with the series Fashion and Venus, many pieces of which are previously unseen by the Vietnamese public. The cardboard suits and decorated cigarette boxes are put in conversation with the painted cardboard Venuses by Nguyen Nghia Cuong, an artist who carries on Vu Dan Tan's legacy through his own artistic reinterpretation. Artist biographies and photographs from the exhibition are included, as well as an essay by art critic Iola Lenzi.
