Asia Art Archive welcomes Chow Yiu Fai to our Residency Programme.

During his residency, lyricist, scholar, and educator Chow Yiu Fai explores connections between the archive and his experience in pop music, research, and education.

Chow Yiu Fai graduated from the Department of English Language and Department of Comparative Literature at The University of Hong Kong. After moving to the Netherlands in 1992, Chow received his PhD in 2011 at the Amsterdam School of Communication Research, University of Amsterdam. Currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Humanities and Creative Writing at Hong Kong Baptist University, Chow is also an award-winning songwriter. He released his first lyrics in 1989, and since then has penned some 1,000 lyrical works for pop artists in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Mainland China. Lately, Chow has been increasingly involved in prose writing, multimedia, and visual art projects.
