This publication accompanies the exhibition titled 'Wack! Art and the Feminist Revolution' organised by Cornelia Butler and first presented at The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, 2007. It offers the first international survey of a body of work that emerged from the dynamic relationship between art and feminism in and around the 1970s and includes 119 artists from twenty-one countries.
