This is the catalogue of the solo exhibition of Minako Nishiyama, featuring 6 installations based on the European fairy tale, Cinderella. Nishiyama has been exploring the perception of 'girlie' taste and women's identity in the Japanese society in the artworks, and pink has been the key colour used in these works. The accompanying essay by Yasuyuki Nakai writes about the 'Kawaii' art and the relationship it has with the art of Nishiyama. Bibliography and black and white images of works by Nishiyama produced from 1987-1996 are provided in this catalogue.
