Part 1 of The Art and Life of Ma Qizhi, a documentary film that featured interview with Ma, and photo and video documentation of Ma's performance from early 1990s to around 2009. The documentary was featured on The Northwest Corner of China, a television program produced by Gansu TV.

This clipping captured the interview with Ma, where he talked about how he got involved in performance art during early 1990s, how he responded to controversies around performance art in Mainland China, and the stories behind his works such as To Pay Adequate Attention to a 9 Square-meter Surface (1994), Waiting for a Bus (1995), and Washing Feet for the Workers (2009), among others.
