The third letter in the thread, dated 4 March 1967, was a draft reply by Gulammohammed Sheikh.
This document is related to the planning of the second exhibition of Group 1890 that did not eventually materialise.
A general body meeting of Group 1890 was held from 12 to 14 May 1967 in Baroda, where artists who were in conversation had met to explore the possibility of their second exhibition.
The first exhibition of Group 1890 was held at Rabindra Bhavan, Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi, in 1963. Participating group members for the first exhibition included Jeram Patel, Raghav Kaneria, M. Reddeppa Naidu, Ambadas, Rajesh Mehra, Gulammohammed Sheikh, Himmat Shah, S.G. Nikam, Eric Hubert Bowen, Jyoti Bhatt, Balkrishna Patel, and J. Swaminathan.
