'Live body sculptures' of Frog King and Li Kikwok with(in) the sculptural works at the 'Visual Arts Society: Inaugural Exhibition', 2-4 October 1974. According to the artist, through juxtaposition, interactions and improvisation, this experiment of 'body sculpture' acts as a counter-force to the material conventions of sculpture-making in the 70s.
Frog King's sculptural works on the wall has its precedent in 1971. The former work, displayed at the same spot, comprises the same burnt plastic pipe; the new work replaced the circle with a square, and have a few pieces of stone placed on the floor in the front.
'Live body sculpture' is one of the key concepts that resides in Frog King's artistic trajectory; he considers any art form that works with human body a 'total dimensional' work. The idea of 'live body sculpture', which began in the early 70s, gradually matured and developed into the 'Body Installation ongoing project' starting from the 80s.
