When the Ship Comes in by Lee Wen is a mural at the Bayfront MRT Station commissioned by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) in Singapore. The mural commemorates Singapore as an important port of call for ships and hence historically growing out of her strategic geographical location, which saw the meeting of ships from different countries and cultures. The mural is composed of a collage of images of ships drawn by young Singaporeans, ages 7 to 12. A series of visual art workshops were conducted in August and November 2008 and selected artworks from these workshops were used in the mural.
