Photographs of Om Swaha and a separate performance titled Dafa 180 in response to amendments in the Rape Bill in India. These two performances took place in Karol Bagh, New Delhi, in 1981, as part of the March 8 (International Women’s Day) Anti-Rape Demonstrations that were led by Stree Sangharsh, a feminist organisation, of the Autonomous Women’s Movement. The enactment of this iteration of Om Swaha was done by Mallika Virdhi, Ein Lall, Runu Chakravarty, Deepti Mehrotra, Chhaya, Sharda Behn, Gouri Choudhury, Theo Devaganam, and Lalita Ramdas among others, while Dafa 180 was performed by Maya Rao, Anuradha Kapur, Kumkum Sangari, Urvashi Butalia, and Ein Lall among others, and included students from the National School of Drama, New Delhi.
