This archive covers a wide panorama of Ratan Parimoo’s research work, as well as documents on building an art history curriculum in the Faculty of Fine Arts in Baroda. The collection also includes published and unpublished texts on art, exhibition folders of the historical Baroda Group of Artists of which he was a member, and ephemera around conferences and seminars.

Ratan Parimoo (b.1936) is an art historian and painter with several publications and seminars to his credit. He taught art history in the Faculty of Fine Arts and was Head of the Department of Art History & Aesthetics for 25 years. He was instrumental in establishing the Department of Art History & Aesthetics Archive in the college in 1966.
