Photograph of Roberto Chabet's For Miss Joy vs Misfortune presented in the group exhibition 'Collage' curated by Ray Albano at the Cultural Center of the Philippines Small Gallery from 23 July to 8 August 1976.
Excerpt from the exhibition notes:
'Roberto Chabet has accomplished a body of collage works in the 1960's, many of which were in black-and-white monochromes. In his black-and-whites are seen optical rhythms of hard-cut markings, while in his chromatic ones he succeeded in making hard-edged surfaces ambivalent. At present his collages are done in loose systems and incorporating a great deal of drawing.
In his new collages, Chabet expostulates on a new content by selecting readable collage materials and chance-relating them with the artistic process.'
