Imagined Geographies

Photograph of Roberto Chabet's pencil drawing from the series, Imagined Geographies, created in 2011.

This series of pencil drawings reveals a process that belies our understanding of place, which for Chabet is neither fixed nor predetermined, but rather it is a fluid, ambiguous field that points to an elsewhere.

Imagined Geographies was exhibited at Osage Soho, Hong Kong, from 13 August - 11 September 2011 to accompany Roberto Chabet's exhibition, 'To Be Continued,' at Osage Kwun Tong. The exhibitions are part of 'Roberto Chabet: Fifty Years,' a year-long series of exhibitions organised by King Kong Art Projects Unlimited in various venues in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Manila from 2011 - 2012.
