Published in conjunction with the Abraaj Capital Art Prize 2009. Established in 2008, it provides the opportunity for creative collaboration between international curators and artists from the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia (MENASA) region. The artworks of the three winners, Nazgol Ansarinia (Iran) with her curator Leyla Fakhr, Kutluğ Ataman (Turkey) with his curator Cristiana Perrella and Zoulikha Bouabdellah (Algeria) with her curator Carol Solomon, were unveiled during Art Dubai in March 2009 and went on to be exhibited in the grounds of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) from May – July 2009. This catalogue documents each artist's journey towards the creation of their completed artwork. Essays by their respective curators are included. With biographies of the artists, curators and selection committee members.
