The Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo, presented the development of Japanese art of the decade since 1985 as its inaugural exhibition entitled ‘Art in Japan Today’. The exhibition was held from March to May 1995. This catalogue accompanies the exhibition and includes essays about the state of Japanese art in 1995 and review of Japanese art development in the last ten years.
