Blend In

Excerpt from Inward Gazes: Documentaries of Chinese Performance Art 2012, The Macao Museum of Art, Macau S.A.R., 2012, p. 68: 'The weather in winter is cold and dry. I used a humidifier to let the seawater which I collected last summer evaporate, so that the aroma and humidity of summer blends in with the air of winter, filling every corner of my room, as if sunlight is shining on my body.

Through extracting details and trivialities found in daily life, perceiving the poetry and the absurdity hidden behind the appearances of things, I try to describe the coincidence and chance encountered by individuals, as well as the uncertainty in life.'

The performance took place in Thailand and Macau, China in July and December, 2009
