Published on the occasion of the solo exhibition of Montri Toemsombat at Jim Thompson Art Center, Bangkok, 30 July – 19 September 2010. Often incorporating rice and silk cocoons, his work explores personal experience, perceptions of society, and the interrelationships between life, society, culture and nature. Toemsombat also invited three fellow artists, Santiphap Ingong-ngam, Kornkrit Jianpinidnan, and Jarunun Phantachat, to take part in a section of the exhibition.
