This is the catalogue for Peter Ting’s exhibition at the Hong Kong Arts Centre in 1987. The ceramic art pieces presented here include cups, plates, brush pots and vase. In describing his work, Ting wrote, ‘My work is more akin to total abstraction. Clay is my canvas. The form and decoration are the total reflection of my day to day surroundings… I strive to create a fusion of modernity and antiquity, natural and man made, the jovial and the somber feelings ― all the contrasts in life.’ A biography of the artist is included.
