Lin Fengmian (1900-1991) is an acclaimed Chinese painter and art educator who blends the Chinese and Western styles in both his ink and oil paintings. This catalogue features Lin's over 60 paintings which span from the 1930s to the 1980s, including still life and landscape paintings, as well as portraits of Chinese opera performers and women. Includes essays by David Clarke and Sandy Ng. The publication accompanies 'Paintings by Lin Fengmian in the Collection of Linus W. L. Cheung' held at University Museum and Art Gallery of The University of Hong Kong, from November 2003 to January 2004.
