This book considers the emerging 'post-alternative space' phenomenon by profiling 21 artist-run initiatives in Taiwan, Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. They are mostly spaces that Yao Jui-Chung, Wu Dar-Kuen, and other members of VT Artsalon, Taipei have visited or were introduced to by other artists. Separate chapters are devoted to each art space and consist of introductory articles, images and short questionnaires.
Preface by Wu Dar-Kuen, the publication's planning director and contribution by Yao Jui-Chung, planning supervisor. Opening essay by chief editor Lu Pei-Yi.
