Excerpt from Inward Gazes: Documentaries of Chinese Performance Art 2012, The Macao Museum of Art, Macau S.A.R., 2012, p. 114: 'At the opening ceremony where people talked in small groups, I quietly positioned myself among one of the groups. I stood quietly without any eye contact or active engagements with the group, although obviously in their social spaces. I remained in that position until someone in the group acknowledged me, or when the group disbanded, I then moved onto the other group.'
