Inspired by Lawrence Block's 'Eight Million Ways to Die', '20,000 Ways To Die in Yau Ma Tei' is a local tour initiated by artist Chen Holok and the group Student Christian Movement of Hong Kong in 2016. An exhibition with the same title was held in Dec 2018 with the collaboration of the Taiwanese graffiti artist Candy Bird.

During the 1.5km route of "tour to local death scene", participants will be introduced to various scenes of murders around Yau Ma Tei. The number 20,000 suggested the population of the Yau Ma Tei community.

As written on the event website, 'cities are filled up with darkness, violence, loneliness and death. There are always humans living at the gloomy corners of the streets, but you are the one who is not courageous enough to witness this...Let us revise those uncanny, weird murders that occurred without any causes; listened to the stories of the unnamed and feel the vibe of Hong Kong with flesh and blood.'

(Original physical versions are available onsite at AAA library).
