Pep! was founded by Vangi Fong in 2007. In partnership with 1a Space, Pep! organised the 'Complaints Choir of Hong Kong' in 2009.
The 'Complaints Choir' project was initiated by Finnish artists Tellero Kalleinen and Oliver Kochta-Kalleinen and aims to gather a group of people to sing their dissatisfactions of their city or country. According to the project description, 'Complaints Choir of Hong Kong is a project to encourage singing, or any kind of artistic expression of the people, by the people, and for the people. And it is also an experiment to rebuild a binding force in a diversified by divided society.'
