Founded in 2011 by Mimi Brown, Spring Workshop was originally a five-year cultural initiative experimenting with the way a community relates to art. Over the years Spring Workshop has organised a wide range of interdisciplinary programmes including exhibitions, talks, and events related to film and music in their Wong Chuk Hang space. They have also hosted residencies for both artists and curators. Since December 2017, Spring Workshop ceased its usual activities at Wong Chuk Hang and have completed their last project in 2018 with an inaugural exhibition at Tai Kwun Contemporary.
