This book is a collection of photographic work 'India Poems' by the United States born artist Waswo X. Waswo. The black and white images include portraits, landscapes and genre scenes taken in India. Some of the work are accompanied by poem written by the artist. As the artist wrote, '[...] the photographs in this volume represent the visual equivalent of short, lyrical poems.' Commentary by different authors is included in this monograph.
