Published in conjunction with the exhibition 'Print-making in India Today — 1985' organised by Jehangir Art Gallery. This volume includes full plate illustrations representing the work of 24 contemporary artists with critical and biographical notes, also their own statements and photographs. Ten other plates represent some of the earlier trends of the medium, dating back to 1845. There is also an article by Ananda Das Gupta which traces the development of printing and print-making in India as well as a glossary.
