This is the catalogue of Jagannath Panda's exhibition at Nature Morte in 2005. Peter Nagy wrote in the preface, 'Jagannath's paintings instigated unrequited desires for an art that addressed the big issues through humble means, jettisoned the visual cliches of pre-independence India into the 21st century... The imagery operating in the paintings has been elaborated into sculptures while we have consciously included a number of works on paper in the exhibition, as this remains a vital part of the artist's practice.' Artist biography is provided.
