This publication was created on occasion of Kim Jae-Bum's solo exhibition at SongEun ArtCube in 2012. Titled Familiar AKA Object, the exhibition consists of photographs of installations and locations where an accident - be it natural or criminal - is imagined to happen imminently.
'The artist especially focuses on the essence of the accident. All the countless images and videos the media focuses on, is only of the moment that the violence was committed and the extremely strong impact of these images does not allow for us to consider the nature of the occurrence. The situation of each work shown gives us an insight on the thoughts of the criminal before the unfortunate episode.' - from the publication's introduction.
