This monograph showcases acrylic paintings by Ku Xueming in between 2001-2002. 'For my present stage, I always have a feeling to break away from something to be free. I never can find the real thing that makes me feel unfree. In my mind, or perhaps in my life, there actually stands an enormous windmill. When I finally gather the courage to beat it down, it eventually becomes one with my courage. It is an illusion, but it is real', says Ku Xueming.
