Biography:

Zheng Chongbin (b.1961, Shanghai) is an artist who lives and works in both California and Shanghai.

In 1984, Zheng Chongbin graduated from the Chinese painting department of the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts (now the China Academy of Fine Arts), and became a teacher at the Academy. His first solo exhibition was held at the Shanghai Art Museum in 1988. The following year, he received the San Francisco Art Institute’s first international fellowship. By 1991, he had graduated from the institute with an M.F.A.

Zheng has taken part in many recent group exhibitions, including ‘From Chinese Ink to Abstraction’ (Chinese Culture Center of San Francisco, 1999); ‘The Third Chengdu Biennale’ (Chengdu, 2007); and ‘Shanghai’ (Asian Art Museum, San Francisco, 2010). He has also held solo exhibitions, such as ‘Emergent’ (Valentine Willie Fine Arts, Singapore, 2010); ‘White Ink’ (Chinese Culture Foundation, San Francisco, 2011）and ‘Xuan, Etc.’ (Shanghai Gallery of Art, 2011).

鄭重賓，藝術家，1961年生於上海市，現居美國加州及上海。

1984年，鄭重賓于江浙美術學院中國畫系畢業﹐留校任教。1988年在上海美術館舉辦《鄭重賓水墨個展》。1989年獲得三藩市藝術學院國際學者獎，並在1991年在該校獲得碩士學位，及後主要居於三藩市。

近年，鄭重賓參加多個展覽，聯展包括︰《抽象水墨畫展》（1999，三藩市中國文化中心）、《重新啟動 – 成都水墨雙年展》（2007，成都）、《上海》（2010，三藩市亞洲藝術博物館）等。個展包括︰《浮現－ 鄭重賓水墨，裝置個展》（2010，新加坡瓦侖丁美術館）、《白墨》（2011，三藩市中華文化基金會文化中心）、《宣》（2011，上海滬申畫廊）等。
