In March of 2004, Taiwanese artist Chen Hsing-wan unexpectedly passed away in Paris. Chen rose to prominence in the mid 1980s and was known for her abstract works made in a wide variety of materials. In order to present the evolution of her life's journey in art, the Taipei Fine Arts Museum has organized the Memorial Exhibition of Chen Hsing-Wan, presenting over sixty works, chronologically arranged to demonstrate the various stages of her career. Chen's writings and chronology are provided in this catalogue.
