The group show entitled Abstract Possible explores notions of abstraction, taking contemporary art as its starting point. The anthology focuses on the analysis of abstraction as an intellectual technique, and its ability to be self-reflexive, which is the main axis of the exhibition.
Three "strands" of abstraction are examined and intewoven in these texts: formal abstraction, economic abstraction, and withdrawal. The authors place a special emphasis on this third aspect, relating it to the phenomenon of withdrawal today, particularly in the field of cultural production.' - from back cover.
