New Photo is a 'private collaborative journal' compiled and published by the experimental photographers Liu Zheng and Rong Rong in Beijing from 1996 to 1998. It contributed to the development of Chinese experimental photography into an independent contemporary art field through articulating its basic characteristics and forging ties between experimental photographers.

This five-volume catalogue was published on the occasion of the inaugural exhibition of Three Shadows Photography Art Centre established by artists Rong Rong and inri in 2007. The exhibition New Photo 10 Years aims to promote a serious research of contemporary Chinese photography by displaying and opening up dialogue on the journal New Photo and the artistic phenomena it represented. The catalogue includes artist biographies and a chronology of major events in contemporary Chinese photography between 1976 and 2000.
