This catalogue was published on occasion of the solo exhibition of Indian artist Nilima Sheikh entitled 'Drawing Trails, Works on Paper (2008 -09)' held from April to May 2009 in New Delhi. In these recent works, Sheikh uses her characteristic style of drawing upon different art making techniques to create imagined landscapes which are embedded with elements of reality. In these narratives, Sheikh references the agony, violence, terror, and grief of ordinary people in Kashmir and Gujarat. Includes an essay by Deeptha Achar, as well as artist biography.
