This richly-illustrated tome traces the practice of Taiwanese-American artist Tehching Hsieh and presents the complete body of his artworks from 1978 to 1999. Remaining nearly invisible amidst a vibrant New York art scene, he realised five separate one-year-long performances that were unprecedented in their use of physical difficulty over extreme durations and in their absolute conception of art and life as simultaneous processes. The first comprehensive account of his lifeworks, it includes exchanges with the artist and letters by leading art theorists Peggy Phelan and Carol Becker, and acclaimed artists such as Marina Abramovic, along with extensive essays by Adrian Heathfield. Bibliography and biographies are provided. Chinese translation by Kung Chochun.

Out of Now is originally published in English in 2009. The English version is also in AAA's collection.
